Nikon’s Vibration Reduction compensates for camera shake. Get steady photos and video footage, even when shooting handheld at telephoto lengths. Nikon’s Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) system lets you shoot up to four shutter stops slower than would otherwise be possible.⁴ The effects of camera shake are minimised even in low-light situations, and you can capture sharper stills and movies without under-exposing. Always find your target

A large grip and well-positioned controls make it easy to adjust the zoom quickly and smoothly. No matter what the sky reveals, you’ll be ready. This camera’s generous grip ensures a stable hold and the side zoom control lets you extend the lens with your thumb. A simple press of the snap-back zoom button will retract the lens to a wider angle, making it easy to pick up subjects that have moved out of shot.
